Landscapes

I am concerned with translating my emotional reactions to the vibrations of nature's color and light. By using nature's content as a starting point, I strive to transcend the physical elements, to endow them with a uniquely personal and spiritual quality. My landscapes, then, become interior landscapes that not only speak of those locations where I paint, but seek to capture a sense of intensity of mood in the natural world at large. Painting challenges me to stretch beyond safe choices to find unknown realms where the truth of the universe lies waiting.
